Fashion Writer - Vogue Scandinavia
Job description
Vogue Scandinavia is looking for a talented Fashion Writer for our Stockholm team to supervise the process of creating, developing, and presenting written content for the magazine and website. The successful candidate should be passionate about journalism, the latest fashion trends, and be able to bring their creative ideas to life. This writer will come up with features ideas and be able to steer the daily conversation about industry-oriented news online, as well be able to write stories for the print magazine. This position will require the Fashion Writer to be able to write for both print and digital, including both short stories, interviews and longer features.
Responsibilities
- Write articles for Vogue Scandinavia for both print and digital
- Edit articles, as well as fact checking in line with media law
- Keep up with the latest news and trends in fashion
- Consistently create interesting, high-quality articles for Vogue Scandinavia
- Decide on features ideas and fashion stories for the magazine, alongside the Editorial team.
- Create content for online, including shopping articles and galleries
Skills & Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry and fashion history
- Knowledge of global fashion trends as well as the Scandinavian fashion industry
- Strong organizational skills, a self-directed work style, and excellent communication skills
- Strong editing skills with an excellent portfolio of published work
- A minimum of 5 years of writing and editing experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working within in the fashion industry
- Ability to write flawless copy on deadline in a fast-paced environment
- BSc degree in journalism, fashion, or a related field
- Experience of working or studying overseas
- Excellent written English skills
Ideal Candidates
- Fluency in the English language, both verbal and written
- Hands-on experience with MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop, or other publishing tools
- Passionate about the latest fashion stories and be able to bring their creative ideas to life
- Experience in fashion or newspaper journalism
