Data Engineer at Stravito

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for evolving our data pipeline architecture, as well as improving the data flow and data collection for cross-functional teams. Since we’re a relatively small company still, you will be instrumental in shaping how we work with data in the future. Your work will be varied, and the common theme is that what you do will be creating a lot of value for the company and our teams.

In our tech team we are all software engineers focusing on different areas. You bring a passion for data and analytics into that mix. You are comfortable with both expanding existing functionality and challenging it (maybe even rebuilding it) when necessary. Overall, you strive to evolve data capabilities and technology to support company goals.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data pipelines and tooling
• Design data-intensive applications, such as our machine learning pipelines
• Identify areas where we can improve data quality and efficiency
• Take ownership of data infrastructure
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into user behavior

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL and scripting to work with data in production systems
• Experience building data pipelines and data sets, or experience as a software engineer working on backend systems
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Strong analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets
