About the team

You will join a small cross-functional team responsible for building and maintaining a resilient and scalable data infrastructure. The main objective is to provide our customers with end-user behavioural analytics, with a long-term vision to transition into a central position where we manage both internal and external analytical data, and where we work closely with product teams within Flowbox.

All of our teams work cross-functionally and operate autonomously. You will be given a unique and challenging work environment where you will have the opportunity to influence Flowbox’s product to the core. We like pair programming, review our code, and provide each other with constructive feedback.

Your mission 🚀

As a Data Engineer at Flowbox, you will be building data pipelines on AWS infrastructure, implementing data flows, and helping us shape how Flowbox works with data. We use Flask and Python for API development, and a range of tools for data engineering, such as AWS Glue, Athena, DMS, and Airflow. Since we are in the early stages of building our data pipeline, you will have a strong impact on the direction of our development.

About You

We believe you have 3+ years of experience as a data engineer. You will thrive in this role if you have a good understanding of AWS services, SQL, and AirFlow, and experience or an interest in working with RDBMSs and Python. You have significant experience with at least one ETL/ELT tool or library.

We value teamwork and communication at Flowbox, so you will be a good fit if you are a helpful, open-minded, and inquisitive person who likes to work with others. You are interested in how the product is used by users and you strive to find business value in what you do.
