Do you want to work in a role as a .Net Developer and lead the development of engineers? Do you want to create state-of-the-art solutions to make an impact on a global scale? Then this is the opportunity for you!

Store Enablement Area is an entirely new area within the Customer Domain. It will play a key role in enabling the future store experience. The area is set on a mission to provide a unified and streamlined in-store experience worldwide. We want to provide the best customer experience, coordination on rollouts and a simplified interface between Business Tech and our stores. The area will create a stable platform to build store specific applications running on modernized devices. All based on holistic store staff and customer vision and journey.

The area will start out with four existing teams focusing on retail hardware such as touchpoints in store, mobile device, visitor counters, music in store and digital screens and signs. Added teams will focus on store experimentation, store release management and store development experience.

What you'll do

The role includes dual responsibility as you will work as a Senior .Net Developer with responsibility as Competence Lead. As a Competence Lead you will have staff responsibility for Software Engineers and be responsible for their development.

Your managing responsibilities as Competence Lead include:

  • Coach and mentor to help your employees become the best they can be
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on development and workforce planning
  • Participating in recruiting new employees
  • Work with performance management and salary review for your employees
  • Remain compliant with laws and policies

Some of your daily development work includes:

  • Work as a software engineer within an area focusing on retail, the physical store and its hardware, devices, and applications.
  • Design, develop and support solutions used by millions of customers worldwide
  • Create cloud enabling microservices architecture
  • Work with backend integrations
  • Work with cloud transformation

Who are you?

To be successful in this role we believe you are equally passionate about being a leader as well as working hands-on with development. We believe you can apply leading software development practices and present alternative solutions and technical choices. To do this, we think you have a curious mindset, excellent communication skills as well as:

  • Excellent programming skills in C# and .NET
  • Strong experience in system architecture & software design patterns
  • Strong experience of designing and developing APIs, microservices, and integrations
  • Experience in Cloud, CI/CD, containerization, and test automation
  • Have acted as a leader, with management experience

It’s a plus if you have expereince in:

  • Cloud development in Azure
  • App configuration (Azure, DevOps, mobile device management)
  • Scala (Digital Signage)
