Backend Developer

Iconik is seeking a python backend developer, for our product team. For this role, we're looking for a driven developer, with a bachelor or masters degree in computer science, or equivalent. We work in a cloud based micro services architecture, with primarily Python and Flask.

What You'll Be Doing

• Software development in Python, and possibly other programming languages
• Participate in testing and documentation efforts.
• Participate in our backend support to investigate customer issues.

What You Should Have

• At least 5 years professionally working with Python development. Experience with Flask, Marshmallow and Celery is a plus.
• An academic background, preferably in Computer Science
• A proven track record that you can work independently and come up with good solutions to problems
• Experience with Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Redis and Kubernetes is meriting.
• Experience with working in cloud environments, such as Google Cloud or AWS.
• You’re naturally curious, love learning new things, and are proactive in sharing knowledge with others.
• You possess a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion while achieving the desired business outcomes.
