The Find & Discover Team

Team Find & Discover’s mission is to provide consumers with relevant, tailored, and fresh content so they always can discover new houses and areas. No matter if they know exactly what they are looking for, or just want to be inspired. Some of the features we’re responsible for include filters, sorting, recommendations and of course the search engine.

Our team is small and cross functional, consisting of backend / frontend developers, iOS / Android developers, a digital analyst, a product manager and a development manager. We are responsible for the entire tech stack: backend, frontend, web and app. As a team, we work towards goals and in doing so we believe in sharing both success and failure, we learn from our mistakes.

You will also work in close collaboration, sharing ideas and knowledge, with our other five UX Designers at Hemnet.

What you'll do:

As our UX Designer you’ll lead and perform work within user research, concept design and interaction design. You’ll also assess ideas and solutions together with users, colleagues and other stakeholders. You'll have an important part, in collaboration with your team, to create and set a direction for design that will help us to achieve our goals. You will also:

• Present and motivate design decisions for the team and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate and lead workshops
• Work on the interface design for both web and app together with developers and other designers at Hemnet

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a driven, communicative and curious UX designer who, together with our product teams, want to be a part of shaping Sweden's most popular property portal. Since you in this role will communicate with our users, fluency in Swedish is needed.

We have a way of working hypothetically driven and experimentally, and make data informed decisions. We use both qualitative and quantitative research.

We hope you are a senior UX designer who feels the same way. You understand the balance between business goals and technical execution and are someone who doesn't shy away from using pen and paper, digital whiteboards or prototype tools, such as Figma, to design, evaluate and collaborate. You're comfortable generating multiple possible solutions to the same problem, exploring pros and cons.

As a person we believe you value team-work and close collaboration, sharing insights and knowledge with your team is second nature to you. You're also someone curious who loves to dig down into customer insights and explore hypotheses. You like to talk to users and want to understand people's behaviors, needs and expectations in depth.

Background/Skills

• Experience from a similar role where you have lead and performed work within user - research, concept design, interaction design, experiments and evaluation etc.
• Experience working with design systems
• Experience with Figma or similar software
• Familiarity with Google Analytics (or other web analytics service) is a plus but would also be an opportunity for you to learn with us, if you haven't worked with it before.

Way of working after the pandemic

All employees at Hemnet will have the possibility to work from the office in the central parts of Stockholm. We will also have the opportunity to work the majority of the time from home.
