Description

Our client is now looking for a Software Engineer. As an Software Engineer in, your mission is to develop scalable and production-ready Advanced data delivery and Analytics capabilities using modern edge technologies in GCP, Azure experience is a bonus. Your responsibility will be engineering focused, design and development of data delivery and building the data mart/data API’s, how to automate e g deployment, how to manage the infrastructure, how to deliver analytics data to the business, how to manage the data quality, etc.

Mandatory competence and experience:

- An experienced software developer (2+ years) with strong mindset of building scalable and high-quality software products in the cloud.
- Excellent in programming in Python. Not only familiar with language itself, but also fully aware of best practices, code structure, design patterns, development workflow, testing etc.
- Hands on experience in DevOps and automate software development process, like familiarity with tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes, etc.
- You probably have developed highly scalable modern federated query services on one of the for mentioned clouds previously, or is at least interested, and have been introduced to the concept of Lake House
- 1+ years’ experience of designing, development and testing in the field of Data & Analytics in the cloud
- Experience in cloud stack development related to data pipelines and data API’s in at least one of the big 3 (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Experience in Big Data technologies (e.g. Spark)
- Experience in Big Data file formats (e.g. Parquet/Avro)
- Solid understanding of Data Modeling. Experience in modeling and developing tabular cubes, SSAS. Experience also in composite models is a bonus
- Experience from successful delivery of high-quality outcomes
- Fluent in English both written and verbal

Preferred competence and experience:

- Passionate about data in the cloud technology, especially data warehousing in the cloud would.
- Experiences in working with Power BI

Preferred personal qualities:

- A great team player in an Agile team setup, willing to take on different kinds of tasks to meet sprint commitment and to reach our goals together
