We are looking for a senior frontend engineer to help us take our soundtracking innovation platform to the next level!

Job Summary:

In the Soundtrack domain we are on a mission to revolutionize the soundtracking experience for content creators by providing them a creative, interactive and relevant product. As an engineer in our Search & Discover team you’ll play a vital role in building and shaping the core functionality of Epidemic Sound. Together with your team you will experiment with and work on key user flows such as searching for music or sound effects, exploring new sounds and ensuring the sound magically fits the user’s content.

In order to do this, we want an experienced engineer with a strong focus on frontend development and building great user focused products to join our friendly and collaborative team. You will be a key player in forming how we excel at frontend development, together with other developers and technical leaders.

Responsibilities:

Utilize your expertise in frontend web development technologies such as Typescript, React, Redux, HTML, and CSS to develop and maintain an awesome product.

Collaborate closely with other product teams, analytics, user research and experience design to drive user retention and engagement.

Act as an architect, taking ownership of complex technical projects, including planning, cross-team collaboration, and impact evaluation.

Mentor and coach team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Embrace agile development processes, including pair and mob programming, and share knowledge inside and outside of the team.

Requirements:

Extensive experience from frontend development, in different teams and with different products.

Strong knowledge in Typescript, React, Redux, HTML, and CSS.

Great communication skills and drive to collaborate closely with colleagues.

Experience of leading the team’s continuous work towards a common technical vision, as well as how to build scalable, reliable and easy-to-maintain software.

Interest and experience in building accessible web products.

A flexible mindset as a curious learner and big-picture tech thinker.

Preferred Qualifications/ Bonus Skills:

Experience with user event tracking.

Some experience in backend development, for example in Python, Kotlin or similar.
