About this opportunity

The Simulation Services (SIS) unit is a newly created organization within Integrated RAN, Product Engineering Unit Engineering Environment and Experience. SIS is responsible for providing Simulators to product development within Networks R&D. These Simulators are used in product verification instead of real mobile phones and real core networks. The SIS responsibility includes development of internal solutions for Simulators, including our main simulator CSIM/FsUE, and sourcing of Simulators from external vendors.

We are now looking for engaged developers to join one of us in Linköping, Sweden! You will join a team that implements test tool solutions in a 5G and Multi-Standard environment, with a possibility to drive innovation and make new ideas reality! Are you the one for us?

What you will do

• Join an expert agile team, mainly programming in Erlang, that develops support for 5G features in the General Test Framework (GTE) as well as in the simulator
• Get the opportunity to work with everything needed in a team. We are involved in analysis, system design, implementation in small increments and ensuring short feedback loops

You will bring

• A spirit of positiveness and creativeness with a can-do-attitude and the communication and networking skills
• The skills to be ready to explore new opportunities as well as continuously learn and improve together with the team and really enjoy coding
• Good software engineering skills with ability to write high-performance, maintainable code in e.g. C/C++ or Java. Knowledge in functional languages such as Erlang or Lisp is qualifying
• MSc or BSc level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Some knowledge within Telecom and real-time systems and curiosity about Linux and Cloud (e.g. virtualization and scaling) solutions
• Excellent speaking and writing skills in English
