About this opportunity

Join an agile cross functional team that is leading Open RAN development. The team is set to develop Open RAN management plane software modules for radio products. The team drives software module development, uplift CI loop(s) and provides key competence in pre-study engagements.

We are opening a position for an experienced Software Developer to join and strengthen up the expertise on our radio OAM software for the Ericsson Open RAN radio portfolio. The primary task of the role would be crafting and delivering radio application software with a focus on Open RAN management plane.

This would also include supporting the automation of our delivery processes and pipelines, CI/CD. And as such, you would be expected to lead/support the execution of agile processes for how we shall design, deliver, and maintain software and lead/support in pre-study activities.

Within the team, there will be great development possibilities in a diverse work environment. As such, the role provides an entry point to the wide spectrum of functionality and techniques Ericsson offers in Open RAN radio portfolio.

As one of our key developers, your involvement in end to end activities in most things we do, from (pre-)pre-study to customer deliveries and feedback is key! It will require good analytical and technical skills, and a strong personal drive and demeanor to learn.

What you will do

In general, you are supposed to be self-motivated, self-disciplined team player and technical leader who is willing to explore unknown areas.

Being specific, you will:

  • lead/support (pre-)pre-study in Open RAN management plane
  • craft software design and implementation
  • lead/support in fault management product domain

You will bring

  • At least Bachelor degree in CS or EE
  • 3+ years of software development experience, esp. for embedded systems
  • experience with C++ and Java, and design patterns
  • good knowledge of multi-process (and multi-thread) programming
  • working experience in teams doing Scrum
  • CI/CD knowledge
  • technical leadership

It's plus if you have knowledge of:

  • cloud native computing;
  • SNMP, NETCONF, or RESTCONF
  • ASN.1, XML/YANG and/or JSON handling
  • software refactoring
  • secure and clean code
