Customer Experience at Cloud RAN, part of Business Unit Networks, works closely with our customers to drive the uptake and delivery of cloud native RAN Solutions.

Our mission at EU CR CX Solutions and Release is to:

Increase the reach of Cloud RAN by ensuring flexible business solutions that embrace the Cloud ecosystem and are profitable for Ericsson.

We are a senior team who put the e2e customer experience in focus for EU Cloud RAN. We develop solutions that are service-ready, including key metrics for dimensioning, guidelines for integrating selected cloud infra and HW, and blueprints for supported configurations (DRAN, CRAN, enterprise). We provide customers with the documentation to deploy and manage our solutions, and we drive and validate quality targets to ensure the high-quality release of Cloud RAN solutions.

We forge the path towards continuous release and deployment, ensuring Cloud RAN embraces Cloud Native standard processes.

The role of the Solution Integrator is to analyze, prepare, implement, and verify the configuration and integration of a node, network, and system.

You will report to Manager, Solution Validation.

What you will do

• Build and integration end-to-end solutions in the wireless ecosystem, focusing on 5G and RAN.
• Perform Installations, deployment of On-Premises and other Hyperscale’s environments, troubleshoot and handle Service Requests.
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the Solution delivery team and stakeholders to improve the process efficiency and the performance of software and system landscapes.
• Configure Solution products for different use cases.
• Diagnose problem situations and challenge/propose solutions to complex issues.
• Sharpen your development skills with the latest technologies, with access to vast resources, and an environment that nurtures T-shaped skills without limits.
• Innovate by building proof of concepts / end2end solution blueprints around 5G/RAN.
• Support Cloud RAN Business Solution Core-3 and other SAs within different phases of Solution delivery.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team proficient in CNF, 5G, and RAN technologies.
• PoC Demos to internal and external audience and customers.
• Implement automated test cases based on AAT, JCAT or other frameworks.
• Trouble-shoot test cases, environment and build competence to also trouble-shoot the system products.
• Actively participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing including mentoring other team members.

Area 1 – Cloud computing and Distributed/Cloud scale solution architecture skills (with a zeal to learn RAN)

• In-depth understanding of the technology and solutions concepts related to a modern ecosystem in area of cloud computing (cloud architecture, micro services, automation) and related practices (DevOps, CI/CD).
• Knowledge in cloud landscape with good understanding of concepts like IAAS, PAAS, CAAS, virtualized applications, containerized applications, edge computing infrastructure.
• Hands-on Knowledge of at least one commercial grade K8S infrastructure (CNIS, Red hat OpenShift, any of top three HCP CAAS environment, …and similar stacks)
• In-depth understanding of the technology and solutions concepts related to a modern ecosystem in area of cloud computing.
• Familiar with wide range of applications (PAAS infrastructure) required by software to operate and deploy in a K8S cluster (database, code tracing, logging, monitoring etc.)

Area 2- RAN and Telecom core expertise (with a zeal to learn Cloud computing and build cloud scale architectures/applications/solutions)

• In-depth knowledge in Radio Access Network, especially 5G NR and LTE 3GPP standards
• Competence in troubleshooting/integration RAN/Radio, Core network and ENM.
• Very good understanding of key 5G features (e.g., Carrier Aggregation, ESS) and their mapping on the UE, eNB (NSA), gNB and the core network.
• Solution architecture exposure in RAN -> Involved in defining radio product-based application services, including modularity with a solution level focus.
• Hands-on knowledge of UEs and simulators, lab tools and lab equipment, i.e., you must be used to work with lab equipment and be confident in solving problems in the test setups in collaboration with other team members.
• Nice to have internal tooling competences: AAT, MJE, TGF, JCAT, FSuE.

Additional skills (common to both areas above)

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electronics or a related field.
• At least 8+ years of experience in the Solution integration or similar field
• Proven experience in Solution architecture and integration.
• Experienced in Cloud-Native Development Pipeline principles and tools (CI/CD (DevOps), Jenkins, Gerrit)
• Good understanding of networking concepts (e.g.: DNS, IPV4/V6, NAT, VLAN)
• Working Experience with scripting (Go, Ansible, Python, Shell), test automation tools, and development.
• Working experience in Java programming will be an asset to bring.
• RedHat/Linux/Kubernetes/AWS/Azure or similar certification will be a bonus.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication in English
• Proven track record of working with customers globally and geographically distributed teams.
• Agile approach and ability to work in an agile development team.
• Can-do attitude and ready to mentor the team.
