Data Engineer

About the role

As a key member of our Data & Insights team, you will work closely with fellow data engineers and analysts, and in close collaboration with teams in Product Development, Finance, and Marketing.

Some of the things you’ll do:

Design, build and maintain a modern data stack with a central data infrastructure that allows us to flexible and scalable metrics

Architect, implement and maintain pipelines from various sources

Work towards curated, maintainable and business adapted data models

Share your knowledge to build a stronger data culture

-
Provide reliable document around data to reduce risk of losing information and facilitate shared understanding of past and ongoing work with data

Help drive optimisation, testing and tooling to improve data quality

Your background

-
Degree or equivalent knowledge in data engineering, computer science, engineering or a similar field

-
At least 3 years experience from a Developer role within the field of Data (Data- or Backend/Database Engineer).

-
Experience with cloud data warehousing (preferably using GCP)

-
Excellent SQL proficiency

-
Experience with coding in Python

-
Understanding of analytics engineering in dbt Cloud/Core or similar

-
A plus:

-
Familiarity building ELT out-of-the-box pipelines using tools such as Fivetran, Stitch, Airbyte

-
Basic experience in data visualization

-
Experience from a start-up or scale-up, and/or working with an app

Our headquarters are located in Skellefteå, in the North of Sweden. We also have offices in Piteå, Örnsköldsvik and Stockholm, maybe that's closer to home for you? We are remote flexible, but we also value the creativity and sense of community that follows from meeting face-to-face with colleagues.
