Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead
We are looking for someone with passion for Python, Django, Cloud computing/Web services and building web platforms. Do you want to contribute to and strengthen a smart, passionate and fun software development team?

We now want to strengthen our fast moving cloud development team with a Senior Software Developer and Technical Lead.

Moving large amounts of data to the cloud quickly and effectively is our specialty and we are eagerly looking for a team oriented and supportive Technical Lead, who is passionate about software development and architecture, to join us.

About us and about the role

Leica Geosystems Technology is a market leading provider of machine control solutions and is developing advanced software for the civil engineering and construction industry. We develop solutions for the heavy construction process and by connecting sensors and machines we give project managers the right information and tools to execute their construction projects faster. You will contribute to our Machine Control development and improve the communication platform used as part of our Machine Solutions. As the Tech Lead you will be responsible for leading the design and development of the software architecture and support the developers in the team. You will also be working with understanding customer requirements, programming and testing together with the team members.

You will be part of our team located in nice, new premises in Stockholm, Liljeholmen. As Leica is a global company you will be part of an international environment and collaborate with colleagues around the world. The role may require a few business trips a year, mainly in Europe.

Your personality

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in teams both locally and internationally, who is driven, resourceful, and likes and dares to suggest ideas. You are expected to be structured and an analytical problem solver who thinks that quality work is a result in itself - not a concept. We think you have a coaching stance and willingness to be the go-to person when it comes to technical evaluation and solution discussions with our stakeholders and consumers. You have a people-oriented leadership and inspire your team members by leading with trust.

Your skills and experiences

• Experience from leading a project or a team within software development
• 5+ years of professional software development experience (web/cloud)
• Strong and extensive Web service development and Cloud development/deployment experience
• Experience with Python and web development frameworks
• Experience with Django, Django REST Framework and AngularJS
• Proven skills in architecture and platform development
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Fluent in written and spoken English

We see it as a bonus if you have experience from working with Test Driven Development or/and has acquired certification as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
