Advrty AB is a startup based in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 2016, we’re part of Nordic VR Startups (Nordisk Film & Gumi Inc.) and backed by recognized Nordic and global angel investors. We are an experienced team of people with proven track records in building companies, mobile games, applications and services and are now looking for a Server Team Lead to take our revolutionary, programmatic advertising platform for VR, AR and MR to the next levels.
We embrace lean startup, continuous integration and agile development concepts. We are looking for a person who understands the need to build lightweight, highly scalable and distributed services supporting focused objectives. The role includes the responsibility to manage a small team of developers in Ukraine and a close collaboration with our Client Team Lead in Stockholm.
What a Server Team Lead does at Advrty:
• Lead the server-side development of our programmatic VR advertising platform with your Scala/Akka expertise and full-stack experiences.
• Lead and manage a team of developers in Ukraine both remotely and onsite and work closely with our Client Team Lead in Stockholm.
• Take an active and leading role in defining key features and development processes for our Augmented and Mixed Reality advertising platform.
• Be involved in and partly lead overall architectural discussions and help make technical decisions.
What our Server Team Lead also needs:
• Masters or Bachelor's University degree.
• 4-6 years of experience of Java programming and min 2-3 years of experience with Scala/Akka.
• Enthusiastic and open-minded approach to building new features and fixing things when they break.
• Excellent English communication skills allowing you to explain, discuss and describe complex technical concepts both to technical and non-technical team members across different locations.
• Interested in current and emerging VR/AR/MR products and content.
• Brings high energy every day to motivate all peers within the organisation.
• Happy to join a startup in its very early go-to-market stage.
• Willingness to travel to conferences, meetups and partners globally at key times through the year.
