PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Test Engineer with Lab Responsibility will be part of an experienced team working with the specific application of the wayside signaling system within Bombardier Transportation Region North.
The main responsibility in the role as Test Engineer with Lab Responsibility is to verify that the wayside signaling system fulfills the railway signaling requirements. Tests will be carried out on target machine and in a virtual environment doing manual test and/or implementing and maintaining automated test cases. The signaling systems that will be verified are both ATC and ERTMS systems.
IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL:
• Specify, implement and execute test cases; analyse and report test results
• Have lab responsibility: set up, configure and maintenance of hardware and software including simulators that are needed to be able to perform wayside site specific system test
• Analyze non-conformity reports
• Analyze and understand system requirements
• Cooperate with employees within the team and department to continuously improve system knowledge and improve way of working
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics or Vocational university with orientation towards railway
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Computer and network configuration knowledge
• Knowledge of python or similar programming language
• Very good communication skills and open minded
• English and Swedish business fluent are mandatory for this role
• Willingness to travel up to 10% per year mainly in Sweden
