Academic Work is looking for a committed Software Developer and a Computer Engineer to join Mycronic’s Junior Engineer Program. Here, you will work with cutting edge technology, and develop production equipment that enables products of the future. You will work as a member of a team, developing software for Mycronic’s products within different projects with people from different areas, such as software, mechanics, electronics and mechatronics.

You will initially be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Mycronic. The intention is that Mycronic will offer you a permanent employment after the Program, given that all parts are satisfied with the cooperation.

As a part of Mycronic’s Junior Engineer Program, you will be working in RnD projects developing high tech systems and solutions for electronic production. The systems are within the segments of Pattern Generators, Pick and Place or Jet Printing. The focus is in supporting our customers in getting most productivity out of their investments. The development ranges from high precision and high-speed machines with demands on real time performance and failure operations, to sophisticated optimization systems using high performance computing. You will work in projects with development, production and customer cases, and be included in all development phases, from idea to finished product. In the Junior Software Developer position, you will work with embedded systems, use C++ and Linux in cross-functional projects, and use agile methods. For example, you will make software connect to hardware, and work with communication protocols for hardware, for example CAN, Ethercat or Ethernet.
In the Junior Computer Engineer position, you will get the chance to work more hands on, and collaborate together with a team whom is working with testing and automation. You can also be involved in different projects, such as different support tasks, end of life and new development. The focus in this role will be in operating systems and build servers, where you will improve the build environment for software, maintain several build servers. You will use Linux, Script and Jenkins in your daily work, and do setups for computers and embedded systems.
When you become part of the Program, we offer you a mentor whom will make sure that you will have a good introduction and support you while getting in to your new work tasks. Moreover, we offer you internal and external training such as education in new systems, and coaching sessions with your Consultant Manager from Academic Work. * Have good knowledge in Linux and script, and prefer to work more practical with hardware
