Position Summary
The Radio System Management Analytics section within PDU 4G & 5G is responsible for driving the Radio Network analytics operation at PDU 4G & 5G RAN. The responsibility and focus is on identifying, developing, applying and automating analytics and Machine Learning methods targeting trouble shooting, understanding product behavior in field, supporting product development and to evolve and integrate these technologies into tools and the 4G and 5G products. It also includes to spread and grow the analytics competence within the PDU and to facilitate a data driven development. The RSM Analytics section is also responsible for the Smartphone Lab Program, supporting Ericsson business and the product development by providing industry unique and customer relevant insights based on analysis of current and future applications.
We are now looking for a Radio Network Analyst, with proven LTE RAN experience and statistical and analytical skills, to join the team in Kista, Sweden.
Responsibilities & Tasks
The focus will be on:
•Plan and drive customer engagements within the PDU 4G5G Field Analysis Program
•Perform lab and radio network investigations to understand system behavior and network performance
•Based on network data analysis, identify performance improvement areas and take improvement actions for discovered anomalies
•Evolve methods to analyze radio network performance and system behavior using all available radio access/mobile system data sources
•Put requirement on and drive tools development for network data collection and data analysis
Position Qualifications
Core Competences:
•Excellent understanding of Mobile Network and Radio Access technologies in general and LTE and 5G in particular
•Practical experience from working with RAN in field
•Good and documented analytical and data mining skill. Good knowledge of Machine Learning techniques is a merit
•Have excellent scripting and programming skills (e.g. R, Python)
•Experience working with Big Data data management techniques (e.g. Hadoop, SPARK, Flink) is a merit
•Experienced user of Radio Network post processing and exploration tools (e.g. ITK, ADAT, Log tool, MOshell, Tableau)
•Experience from Product Development and System management is a merit
