The role will form an integral part of an agile team. It also involves participating in the complete SDLC for our Platform Engineering. This role is key in ensuring that the team delivers the requested business value and prevent bugs from making it to production is a must. The aim is to go beyond simple quality control and instead adopt a real quality assurance mind-set to ensure that the team is building the right things, in the right way.  

You will be deeply involved in setting strategies, methods and be part of defining the QA processes that the team uses. As part of an agile process the task is to follow developments from conception to release.  You will create test strategies, test plans and test cases to cover all features under development, implement automated tests, performance tests and define the QA processes in use by the team.

What you will do
Be the owner of the testing process within SDLC.
Prepare high level and detailed estimates for new initiatives.
Coordinate test coverage and cross-team testing with the Team lead and/or Tech lead.
Prioritise automation roadmap.
Conduct code quality reviews and be knowledgeable on code quality metrics.
Actively contribute to strategic planning and ensure that the teams deliver projects on time, with desired quality and within set budget.
Drive the implementation of new features and enhancements for the test automation system, and help create/utilise innovative test tools.
Assist in the selection of test tools, design test infrastructure, implement automation and facilitate the software build and release process.

10+ years of experience
Bachelor degree or higher
Experience of automated testing technology, popular testing tools and the relevant technical and business domains
Experience of building automated tests using: .Net Framework and .Net Core.
High confidence level in the following technology stack mainly: SQL, Couchbase and other NoSql databases, Rabbit MQ, MSMQ, Kafka and other high throughput message queuing mechanisms.
Working knowledge of SourceTree, Bitbucket, APM tools, Octopus, and TeamCity.
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures for high throughput, and high availability systems including Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity testing.
Perform exploratory and functional manual tests
Analyse test results and debugging
Track bug reports and change requests to their resolution.
Record, document results and compare to expected outcomes and software testing KPIs.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for production incidents and problems.
Create and maintain relevant documentation.
Communicate with system users regarding upcoming releases, updates and production issues.
