Senior QA-Engineer within embedded systems

Our customer is a large international company that creates revolutionary telecommunications and network infrastructure with its innovative and industry-leading fiber connections where technology is at the forefront. Their goal is to be able to offer endless access to networks for everyone - everywhere, always, and directly.

They will now strengthen the team in continuous integration and verification with an additional senior QA engineer.

About the role
In the role of senior QA engineer, you will work with quality assurance of their current and next-generation in optical network products before the new functions are released to end-users. In the role, you should also be able to take roles as Release/test leader where you need to take technical management in test processes, choice of methods, and tools. You will be part of a team that today is 9 persons with different nationalities and experience levels. The team possesses extensive system knowledge of their products where they work closely together to drive the work forward with and focus on customer quality.
Your duties will be to implement and improve system verification tests of their existing products and functions in and during development. Here you will work with node and management systems as well as practical test settings in their R & D lab. The focus of the work is very much on the non-functional requirements such as:

- Performance
- Abilities
- Robustness
- Security
- Upgradeability
- Usability

You will have the opportunity to work with a wide mix of products from their portfolio.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have the following background

- Education in either Technical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Science
- Minimum 5 years of experience in testing within embedded systems and good system understanding
- Programming and scripting in Python
- Experience of Pytest
- Experience in manual and automated tests

Meritorious if you have

- Experience in setting test strategies, test methods
- Experience from the operator side
- ISTQB certificate
