Technical Artist - NENT Animation

NENT Animation creates, develops and produces animated storytelling. Our production technique is based on shooting realtime character animation with a motion capture setup in a 3D game engine environment.

We are a great team of engineers, animators, artists and storytellers, coming together under one roof in our studio in central Stockholm. We are growing fast and we are now looking for a stuperstar who will play a key role in our journey moving towards new technologies.

The Position
The Technical Artist (TA) acts as a bridge between the artists and engineers. They are considered part of the production engineering team and work closely with artists, developers, managers.

The main areas of responsibilities include art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration and shader development. TAs are expected to assume ownership over any technical issues that arise on their projects and drive them to resolution. You will also have an important role in our implementation of Unreal technologies.

As Technical Artist, you will make sure that programmers will do programming and artists will create magical art. You will act as their in-between bridge, making sure our pipeline runs smoothly.

Who we are looking for

- Experience working in realtime in Unreal Engine and/or Unity.
- Experience in creating shaders.
- A foundation in at least one 'traditional' skillset such as animation, 3D art or programming.
- Strong skills in Python and/or C++.
- General understanding of character/animation pipeline.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Interest in contributing to character animation technologies.
- Team player, excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to have

- Experience in developing IK Solvers, blending techniques, etc.
- Experience developing character and facial animation related technology.
- Experience with motion capture systems.
