Python/c++ software engineer

We seek a consultant that will work with simulation and test automation frameworks for SIL. This is used both for development testing and our CI/CD pipeline. The team is focusing on developing the closed-loop simulation that is an essential part of the daily work by feature developers. We develop tools in Python and C++. The team consists of five people and we seek to increase with at least one consultant.

We are looking for a developer that can design and provide a test automation environment for large-scale scenario-based simulation and evaluation. We offer closed-loop simulation flow, which in short can be described like we simulate all the actions that the car’s system takes when reacting to our features.

We use this simulation in our CI/CD flow to detect errors in the code in an early stage to make sure developers of features get feedback as soon as possible.

Along with the development of the tools comes also the important interaction with the users to support them in writing good tests (using our tools) and also to get important input to the further development of our tools. This close cooperation with other teams is something that is taking place on a daily basis so good communication skills are just as important as your coding skills.

In order to be successful in this position, you have to like to work in a team and share your knowledge with your colleagues. Pair-programming and mob-programming come naturally to you as well as writing user stories and finding ways to implement them. Priorities are set by the Product Owner but the execution is planned by the team working in Scrum. The team consists of very experienced members so you will have the opportunity to learn a lot. Having this in mind we are interested both in junior and senior profiles for this position.

Kompetenskrav

• Relevant university degree (e.g. MSc in Computer Engineering)
• Proficient in Python and C++
• Proficient in GIT, Gerrit
• Proficient in Linux
• Fluent in English

Önskvärd kompetens

• Experience in the automotive industry
• Proficient in Agile methodology, especially Scrum and Kanban. Knowledge of SAFe.
• Knowledge of Pandas/Numpy, Data Analysis, and Docker
