The Role

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineering Consultant
We are looking for a self-starter with a broad development skill set and an interest in developing apps that control hardware who will have a great impact on how our iOS app is written and performs, as well as help set standards for how the iOS team works, and mentor developers. We are looking for a consultant or freelancer to join our team for 3-6 months.

As the Senior iOS Engineering Consultant, you will be a part of Lifesum’s journey to becoming the world’s leading nutrition app and have great opportunities to utilize cutting-edge technologies and have an impact on which technologies that the iOS team uses.

Responsibilities and what you will do

Set the technical architecture and code standards

Improve processes and raise standards

Mentor iOS engineers to help them reach new heights

Help formulate and implement the iOS development roadmap

iOS development in Swift (and sometimes Objective-C)

Are you the one we're looking for?

To be successful in this position we believe that you have

5+ years experience working with iOS development

2+ years experience working in a technical lead or senior position

8+ years experience with programming and computer science

Solid knowledge of design patterns, architecture, functional programming, and how to apply them

Excellent communication and mentoring skills as well as an analytical mindset

Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C development

Preferably a university degree in computer science or similar

Our team is a mix of developers with different backgrounds and years of experience. Experience and a will to mentor the iOS team members within architectural aspects and decisions we feel is a must for this position. Test-Driven Development experience will also help you a lot in this position.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager iOS that wants to have a great impact on how our iOS work is performed, mentor our amazing team, and be a big part of our communication with Apple.

Mentor, manage, and coach our iOS team to help them reach new heights

Formulate, implement and maintain the roadmap for the iOS development

Manage and maintain our relationship with Apple

Work with iOS development

Are you the one we're looking for?

To be successful in this position we believe that you have

7+ years experience working with iOS development

5+ years experience working in iOS leadership positions

Solid knowledge of design patterns, architecture, functional programming, and how to apply

Excellent communication and leadership skills as well as an analytical mindset

Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C development

Our team is a mix of more senior and junior developers. Experience and a will to mentor the iOS team members within architectural aspects and decisions we feel is a must for this position. Test-Driven Development experience will also help you a lot in this position
