Software Developer


This is an extraordinary opportunity to join the worlds leading exchange company as a Junior Java Client Developer in the Nasdaq Packaged CCP Team. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering a highly sophisticated Central Counterparty Clearing (CCP) system to major clearinghouses around the world. It is an advanced system with very high demands on quality and performance and it is built with leading-edge Java technology and tools.


We are a cross-functional scrum team providing the full suite of software engineering, including Business Analysis, Software Development, Testing, and customer services.


As a Junior Java Client Developer at Nasdaq, you will review business requirements and software design specifications for implementation in the systems custom user interface. Furthermore, you will develop complex functionality to improve and maintain a test automation tool.


This position is an exciting opportunity to develop your personal, technical, and leadership skills while gaining an extensive knowledge of the exchange industry in general and the post-trade domain in particular.


We expect you to have:


A University degree in computer science, information technology, software development, or similar or equivalent work experience

Preferably 12 years of work experience

Experience with Java application development

Experience in GUI development and curiosity about UX

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


It's also nice if you have:


Knowledge in JBoss and C# development

Web services and Java messaging

Interest in learning about financial transactions and post-trade

Effective communicator as the role will require the ability to collaborate closely with development/business teams and with clients

Proficiency in Swedish
