Cloud Developer - Openstack

We are looking for a Cloud Developer with Openstack experience.

Purpose of Job Role

The Engineer will be part of a global virtual cloud team, plans and operates the software and hardware solutions. The Engineer secures a stable Environment and optimizes the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner.

Typical Interfaces

Users (local and global), Project management, OPO, Program Managers (local/global), Engineers (local or remotely located), 3PP Suppliers, e.g. Dell, HP, IBM and Tools vendors.

Qualifications and Experience

- Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in engineering (ICT) or equivalent

- Deep and broad knowledge and experience across IT service portfolio.

Knowledge and skills

- Openstack

- Python

- Linux

- Kubernetes

- Docker

- Investigates and solves complex problems that require substantial analysis by developing existing procedures, techniques & methods. Impels improvement and change. Can guide and lead others in the work.

- Speaks & writes English well. Uses English on a daily basis in the work context.

- ITIL and service knowledge

- Agile/Lean

Responsibilities Include:

- Operate and Support scalable, redundant infrastructure to include physical and virtualized environments

- Hands on experience with HW (e.g. physical installations, HW and SW upgrades etc.)

- Maintain and develop automation using tools like Python and Ansible

- Improve existing infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices and cross application integrations

- Day-to-day collaboration with developers and QA teams, to influence design, and architect solutions in multitiered environments

- Manage individual project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines

- Produce clear documentation for delivered solutions

- Assist in designing and rolling out a revamped monitoring and system using openstack monitory tools.

This is a full-time consultancy position in Stockholm.
