We are looking for a full stack engineer with experience and interest to work with scaling successful experiments and helping building on common platform parts in order to bring value to Aftonbladet and its subsidiary products.

In Aftonbladet Product & Tech we provide the 4 million daily users of Aftonbladet with a superior news experience through digital products. With our exceptional journalism, high editorial independence and strong digital development we keep making Sweden a little better, the world a little more comprehensible and life a little easier.
What we do:
The Aftonbladet “Growth” Team focuses on creating additional value streams from new, innovative products utilising our modern tech stack. We drive short, exploratory initiatives to quickly try out new ideas - to try and fail quickly and intensify the pace of product innovation.
Learning and growing together, we do code reviews, pair programming and twice a year company-wide hackathons. We also dedicate 10% of our time (every second Friday) to skill development and innovation.
Our Tech stack: We mostly use JavaScript / TypeScript in our products, with Node, React and Travis CI, we leverage AWS services (CDK, CloudFront, ECS, Lambda, SNS / SQS).
About you:
We are now looking for a full stack developer who is passionate about building products that delight our users in a fast paced environment.
- You have a deep knowledge of JavaScript (React, Node.js, TypeScript)
- You have a good understanding of web performance, scalability, caching, cross-browser compatibility issues and implementation constraints.
- You have a good understanding of the concepts of and/or experience with continuous deployment, integration and unit tests, documentation, GitHub

Product & Tech is responsible for product development and technology platforms for News Media brands. The unit consists of product managers, software engineers, UX experts, and user researchers. Most of our teams work distributed, with colleagues in Oslo, Stockholm, Krakow, Gdansk, Bergen, and Stavanger.
