Description

The client is now looking for a senior back-end lead engineer for their Future POS leap team that supports and technically drives the development efforts of the store checkout ecosystem. They envision an all-round engineer with exceptional skills in engineering C# applications on the Azure cloud, including code architecture, best practice coding and reviewing skills.

Work Tasks:

- Driving the development of sales orchestration layer which abstracts the front-end from the back-end checkout services
- Defining the suitable architecture, both high-level and code base
- Designing/architecting, writing, testing and reviewing code, mainly C#
- Designing APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger, and implementing them on back-end and client-side
- Data modelling of API request/response as well as DB models

Mandatory competence and experience:

- Highly skilled in C#/.NET
- DB-design (document & relational)
- REST API's
- API's & API-security
- Architectural knowledge
- Queues and events
- General Azure knowledge
- Azure dev-ops and release pipelines
- Containerization, mainly docker & Kubernetes
- MQTT
- General IT knowledge and a deep interest in tech, curious
- Cloud certification: AZ 900 and AZ 204 (20-24h) (Back-end/C#/.NET) (certificate at latest 31 mars if not already certified)

Preferred competence and experience:

- Experience working with store checkout
- Experience working with e-comerce checkout

Preferred personal qualities:

- Fully fluent in the agile WoW
- Can act as Scrum Master as any other team member
- Lead developer with competence to steer additional developers
- Self-managed
- Understanding of both functional and technical requirements
- Team player
- Capability to remain calm and professional even when others disagree

- Capability to communicate clearly
- Willingness to support and unblock team members, enabling them to work efficiently
- Capability to communicate design possibilities, giving suggestions and making design choices together with the team
