The Position

As the Tech Lead for Gameplay you will be the driver for all technical decisions of the gameplay area and be part of the implementation of all new gameplay features in our MMO. You will work hands-on with the development of the game and features together with your team. At the same time, you will act as a tech coach and mentor, guiding a small team of technical personnel through technical issues and challenges in the gameplay craft. Responsibilities

Balance development and maintenance of gameplay features with the responsibilities of people management for a small team.

Foster a culture of ownership of code quality to deliver amazing gameplay features to our players with high standards.

Ensure the creation and maintenance of appropriate technical documentation.

Lead and coach individuals towards target through 1-2-1 meetings.

Conduct hands-on talent planning short and long term, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and salary reviews within your team. Ensure workplace requirements are covered with support from the People function.

Optimise gameplay code and data for memory usage/performance.

Identify and solve development obstacles or risks.

Enable the timely delivery of practical solutions in the areas of development such as: game logic, controls/input, AI, UI and more.

Drive the creation of Gameplay Programmer processes, pipelines, and discipline.

Part of the technical leadership team, communicate and share the status of software requirements and process to other leads.

Skills we are looking for
3 years of experience in game development

Experience with C++

Ability to debug and test

Database knowledge

Experience working with different platforms (mobile, desktop)

Experience with unit testing
