THE OPPORTUNITY IN A NUTSHELL

You? Experienced Web Developer or Frontend Developer eager to be part of building web applications contributing to a bigger societal impact for the many users.

Role? Web developer to build a web-based application in the User Matching team, being convinced that recommendations and other ML-geared components are key to match job seekers with their next job.

Tech stack? JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, React, Remix, Vitest and Cypress. We do also use Java/Kotlin and Kafka, but those will not be your main focus.

Location? Our hybrid approach encourages you to spend a few days a week in our central offices in Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki. If you prefer working in the office daily or working fully remote, we can also accommodate for that. You will also be expected to travel within the Nordics around 3-4 times per year to meet up physically with the full team.

You’ve already got miles behind as a Web Developer or Frontend Developer and share our interest in using machine learning to solve jobseekers’ needs more efficiently.

Day-to-day work & the product

As a Web Developer in the User Matching team, you’ll focus on creating web-based applications that help minimise the job seekers’ efforts in finding their next job. At the heart of our approach are strong job recommendations. Within the team, we hold sufficient control to customise key areas like recommendations, search, ad view, and ad performance, just enough without having to maintain the heavier parts of them. Our neighbouring platform teams are taking care of that.

In your day-to-day, you’ll be working closely with tech, product, and design to help build the best functionality for our jobseekers. We value collaboration and experimentation, recognising that it’s through validated data that we best get to know our business and user needs.

With User Matching playing a spider-in-the-web role in how well we serve our users, your contribution will be vital. Join us on this thrilling ride!

We are a team of 6 with a diverse mix of experts in design, product development, tech, and machine learning. Each of us brings vibrant energy and valuable experience from Blocket, Oikotie, or FINN, uniting our domain knowledge to craft a groundbreaking product tailored for the Nordic job markets.

Spread across the Nordics, we meet regularly for both work and play, brainstorming our next moves, while enjoying some fun team-building activities and hangout.

We just started working together this past December and are currently shaping our ways of working. We take full ownership of our product, constantly seeking ways to improve and adapt to the ever-changing landscape. With the freedom to make our own decisions and control over the resources being at our disposal, we're empowered to drive our product forward with creativity and innovation!
